Rev. Fr. Dr. Emmanuel Dim of Tansi Major Seminary was attacked and kidnapped by herdsmen on Wednesday.

The priest was allegedly kidnapped while in a vehicle with two other priests, Rev. Frs. Jude Chukwuneke and Jude Ezeokana.

The Director of the Communication of the Nnewi Catholic Diocese told how N2.5 million ransom was demanded by the kidnappers.

An Indian man, from the Banana Island in Nigeria, by the name of Jay Keswani has been arrested for the alleged assault towards his domestic worker, Faith Nwaneri.

Keswani’s arrest took place on Tuesday after he had avoided arrest for six weeks prior.

Nwaneri’s brother, Chukwuka, spoke out about the violent attack towards his sister, as he told what led to the assault.

Inspector killed as gunmen attack police station, cart-away weapons in Ekiti

A police inspector was killed ‎while the police armory was raided after about 40 armed men raided Ido-Ekiti Divisional Police Station in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti state yesterday October 14th. 

The gunmen stormed the police station at about ‎7pm and started shooting sporadically. The attackers used dynamite to blow open some of the stations safe. Police sources say the armed men came for the armory as that was their first point of call during the attack.
