GOVERNOR Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has
relieved the Commissioners for Tourism, Mr. Folorunsho Folarin-Coker, Finance,
Dr. Mustapha Akinkunmi, and Transportation, Dr. Ekundayo Mobereola of their
appointments in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
This came as governor Ibikunle Amosun reshuffled in
membership of his Executive Council swapping, four Commissioners and four
Special Advisers
Unconfirmed reports said the Lagos commissioners were sacked for
alleged maladministration.
In a statement by Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji
Bello said: “The Governor also directed the Special Adviser, Arts and Culture
to take over as the Acting Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism and Culture,
Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation
while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance takes over as the
Acting Commissioner for Finance pending the appointment of new Commissioners in
the respective ministries.”
Amosun reshuffles
cabinet
Similarly, the Ogun State Government has announced a reshuffle
in membership of its Executive Council swapping, four Commissioners and four
Special Advisers.
In a statement by Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo
Adeoluwa indicated that the erstwhile commissioner for Agriculture, Ronke
Sokefun has been redeployed to the Ministry of Urban & Physical Planning.
Also the erstwhile commissioner for Urban and Physical
Planning, Bashorun Adebola Adeife has been moved to the Ministry of
Inter-Governmental Affairs.
The erstwhile Commissioner for Special Duties and
Inter-Governmental Affairs, Mr Leke Adewolu has been asked to superintend the
Ministry of Special Duties only.
