Edo Assembly hails Buhari over release of 21 Chibok girls

 
BENIN—Edo State House of Assembly, yesterday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the recent release of the 21 Chibok girls held by the Boko Haram sect, urging Nigerians to be patient with the current administration as it was capable of finding solutions to the problems confronting the nation.


The House urged the Federal Government not to be deterred by criticisms and focus on how to secure the release of the girls still with the Boko Haram sect, saying that Nigerians will soon recognise all the current administration was doing to make Nigeria great again.
In a letter of commendation by the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Justin Okonoboh, the House rejoiced with the families of the freed girls, saying that tribute must be paid to the military and Nigerians, who have kept faith with their prayers during the long period the girls were in captivity.
Meanwhile, the House, during plenary, considered the Bill for the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Edo State before it.
Also, report on the non-inclusion in salary voucher was presented by Nosa Okunbor, who represents Orhionmwon East constituency.
He said that he effected legislative action on the report when he was Chairman, Committee on Transport before he was made to head the House Oil and Gas Committee.
