Arsenal were humbled by Liverpool on sunday in the Premier League, and it is understandable that Arsenal fans are not pleased with the result.
Naijaloaded highlights 3 strong reasons why the Gunners lost to Jurgen Klopp’s team.

1) Defensive Setup:
Barely a fortnight to the opening clash against Liverpool and manager Arsene Wenger wasn’t sure of his starters in defense for such a big game.
Per Mertesacker and Gabriel are both nursing long-term injuries and Laurent Koscielny only just returned to training a week ago after representing France in the Euro 2016 tournament.
So Arsene Wenger was forced to field youngsters Rob Holding and Calum Chambers in the heart of the defense and not surprisingly, the bond between the duo was vulnerable as Liverpool had a field day especially in the second half.
2) Wenger Unwillingly To Spend:
So Arsene Wenger was fully aware of the unavailability of his first choice defenders for the clash, sandwiched with the club in dire need of a centre forward, but he choose to gamble and thrust in players that were simply not ready for such a high intensity game.
In the end they got battered by a resilient Liverpool side, though the boys tried to ameliorate the score line with goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers.
Still the cracks were there for all to see- Arsenal conceded four goals at home on opening day fixture- Wenger is at fault!
3) Mesut Ozil absence
Take it or leave it, Arsenal are a different side when the worldcup winner is unavailable.
On the day, Arsenal missed the 27-year old’s creativity with Aaron Ramsey struggling in the middle of the park to dictate play. Eventually the Welsh international picked up an hamstring injury to add to a frustrating evening for anyone with allegiance to Arsenal.
Arsenal fans, who do you blame for the poor result?
